What do you get for 200 euro plus VAT from this guy, (assuming you are not dead)?
Is it a pathologist examination, forensic expert? I've looked in the glossary, but found nothing which pinpoints this. It is in a list of services provided by large company's sports medical centre.

X Gina Gina, il documento che hai proposto: http://www.marylandmva.com/Resources/DL-171.pdf è un documento US. Qui si tratta di tradurre quello che in ITALIANO significa una perizia medico legale. Se in USA (come tra l'altro in Italia) serve un MD per il rilascio della patente, quello non significa che "una perizia medico legale" venga fatta SEMPRE da un MD IN ITALIA e ancora meno da un medico legale. Un esempio: l'esame del DNA viene firmato da un biologo genetista! La "buona salute dei denti" per le assicurazioni viene fatta da un dentista, il consumo di droga viene spesso "certificato legalmente" da un farmacista...e cosi via...
Quindi, nel contesto specifico di questo studio che offre diverse prestazioni, la voce "Medico legale con perizia", come spiegato già prima da Alessandra, non può essere sinonima di "medical legale doctor" o "medical examiner" che viene inteso in EN come "coroner" e non può essere cmq limitato a un MD.

Concordo in pieno con Ale; qui non si tratta dal "coroner", ma di qualsiasi perizia a fine medico legale anche per una persona sanissima (e viva)

Thanks Alessandra. I'm not sure "appraisal" will do for the answer, but the first half of understanding is done :-). All I could focus on was somebody bringing in a dead relative's body for an examination :).

Examination Ciao Alessandra. Then it would just be a signed medical examination for use in court by an expert in not forensic medicine but in the field in question, a heart surgeon for a mistake made by another heart surgeon for example?

If it's within sports I would use the above.
Otherwise it could be translated also as forensic doctor...

I think the fact that this is a physician is already understood, so you don't need to expressly state it in the translation.

Con il termine "perizia medico-legale" si definisce il parere tecnico in ambito di questioni giuridiche nelle quali il giudice non ha la capacità di risoluzione a se stante.
