sollevare in aggetto

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Engineering: Industrial corrugating plant
This is a description of a corrugating plant. Context:
Supponendo un carrello del peso di circa 10.000 kg e dovendo sollevare in aggetto una bobina da 3300 kg (1500 mm) si ottiene appunto un carico massimo sull'asse piu' caricato di circa 8000 kg.

The carrello runs on tracks, so I am assuming it's a sort of trolley or car and not a forklift. So does this mean that the spool somehow protrudes on one side? That more weight is resting on one side of the trolley? Thanks.
