Arabic term

2م 8.800

Non-PRO Arabic to English Tech/Engineering Mathematics & Statistics measurements
In a table in a contract concerning the area of various plots of land, the areas are set out as above with a م after a part of the figure. What does it stand for? In the fiqure above, the م should be after the 2.
It's a question of land measurements in Saudi Arabia. I don't think I need to provide more context as it comes from a table and there are no "sentences" as such.
Thanks, Aisha

yes exactly, but I couldn't get it to appear that way.
Steve Booth Sep 2, 2009:
are you trying to say the text should read 2م and then 8.800

Sorry, if it looks like this 8.800 م2 then it means 8800 m2, i.e. 8800 متر مربع

1 day 2 hrs

Area, which descibes normally the product of (Length*Width) is translated to the term, pronounced as (squire meter); in figure format (as demonstrated in the question) this would be : m²
