Greek term
διεκπεραιωτικά
Greek to English
Art/Literary
Journalism
The context is the sentence:
'Δυστυχώς, πλην λίγων εξαιρέσεων, τα περισσότερα άρθρα του ελληνικού τύπου για τα blogs είναι διεκπεραιωτικά και αβανταδόρικα.'
Does it mean something like 'crude' or 'unfinished'?

dull, uninspired
It means that journalists "go through the motions" so to speak, and do not bother researching in depth the issue.

Dubious, Biased
'διεκπεραιωνω' means to fulfil, the sentence in question also clearly
indicates the meaning of the term Dubious, Biased, intented to serve
ones interest, ( Not writting impartially)

the term mentioned, dull , as lame could also be correct in away,
meaning the writer just writes for the sake of it... degrading quality
(just to get the job done)

expedient
Here's another suggestion. One meaning of διεκπεραιώνω is "expedite", so there's an etymological connection.

: and another meaning of διεκπεραιώνω is "transact", in your sentence it means that they only explain some typical things and dont explain anything thouroughly

Discussion
A bit of brainstorming:
Perfunctory, routine, token, churned out, cranked out, written on autopilot.
I'm not at all sure I'm catching every shade of meaning in this word.
So what is the word for that? I came up with "expedient", which covers a part of the meaning, but still doesn't satisfy me.
Another alternative I've just thought of is "regurgitated", which gets closer, but is still not quite right. Another word that works is "formulaic", but that doesn't mesh with the etymolgy, so doesn't satisfy me either.
I'm sure the combined genius of the contributors to this forum can find the answer. What do you say, people?
