Если уж придираться, то рак почки подразумевает invasion почечной ткани, и фраза *cancer of the left kidney with invasion of the left kidney* звучала бы странно. :-) Имхо, речь идет именно о метастазах, т.е об отдельно расположенных участках опухолевой ткани.
