Portuguese term

Puré bicolor

Portuguese to English Other Cooking / Culinary
Looking at the recipe, the two vegetables involved are spinach and pumpkin. But how to describe this purée - two-coloured purée? Green & orange purée? Doesnt sound very appetizing.....

Discussion

suesimons (asker) May 2, 2010:
Well....I'm going for a two-tone puree, plus a footnote (hate footnotes!).
Evans (X) May 1, 2010:
what about a medley of spinach and pumpkin purées? Unless that sounds like more than two...
suesimons (asker) May 1, 2010:
Thanks, Gilla and one and all for these great suggestions! It's a job to choose which one.....
Marlene Curtis Apr 30, 2010:
Good one! Two-tone purée platter (since they are served together).
Why not... "Two-tone purée"? It is good enough for shoes after all...
Evans (X) Apr 30, 2010:
would adding an s solve the problem? - spinach and pumpkin purées
suesimons (asker) Apr 30, 2010:
Sonia, the only problem is that there are 2 separate purées. They are served together but not mixed together.

agree Evans (X) : I would go for this. Two-coloured purée would do but, as Sue says, it's not very appetising.
