This is talking about the gender inequality in the Nobel Prize in Literature (89% of the recipients are men). I can't follow this phrase given the context of these two sentences (it appears twice). I need help figuring out how to phrase this so that the two sentences make sense in English. Thanks!
Si analizamos el continente de origen de las mujeres galardonadas vemos que el continente, ***en proporción con los hombres***, con mayor porcentaje de mujeres galardonadas es Africa con un 25% de mujeres. Aunque de Europa hayan sido galardonadas 7 mujeres ***en proporción con los hombres*** Europeos galardonados (67) representa sólo un 10% del total de Europeos, un número ciertamente muy bajo.
Si analizamos el continente de origen de las mujeres galardonadas vemos que el continente, ***en proporción con los hombres***, con mayor porcentaje de mujeres galardonadas es Africa con un 25% de mujeres.
