ويُروى عن عيسى عليه السلام أنّه قالَ :واللهِ إنّ لُبْسَ المُسُوحِ واستِفَافَ الرَّمادِ والنَّومَ على المزَابلِ كَثيرٌ على مَن يموتُ".
هؤلاء الذينَ يَدّعُونَ الوِلايةَ ويَلتَزِمُونَ أَكلَ الأطعِمَةِ اللذيذَةِ والملابسَ الفَاخِرةِ بَعِيدُونَ مما يَدَّعُونَ ،لا يَكُونُ العَبدُ وَليّا إلا بزُهْدٍ،لُبسُ المُسُوحِ مَعناهُ هذا الشّعر شَعرُ البهَائم الذي لم تَدخُلْهُ صِنَاعَةٌ،هذا يَكونُ خَشِنًا،اليومَ هذا الصُّوفُ الذي نَلبَسُه دَخَلَتْه الصّنَاعَةُ،صَارَ قَريبًا مِنَ القُطْنِ،واستِفَافُ الرّمادِ هذا مَفهُومٌ،تَجرُّعُ الرّمادِ معَ الماء.
