Chipboard

A common product that is made from resin coated particles of softwood. The particles are evenly spread over a flat plate and heat bonded together under high pressure. The standard chipboard is available in various thicknesses, including 9mm, 12mm, 18mm.
There are other types of chipboard available including flooring grade, melamine veneered (such as Formica worktops), plastic veneered, white melamine coated as well as other colours(common usage in the furniture industry) and wood veneered.

The boards should be stored flat and care should be taken to keep the sides and corners protected. It is an economical material, suitable for many internal jobs, if supported. There are waterproof grades that are more suitable for damp conditions.

Linopan\'s wood Chipboard is probably one of the most useful and environmentally-friendly products in the world. Linopan uses only wood from thinning in forestry, sawdust and wood shavings for its raw materials.
The wood is first chopped, then mixed with resin, pressed, sanded and finally cut to size. The result is a highly versatile, first-class chipboard, that can even be made waterproof if required.

What is chipboard?
Chipboard is made from small pieces of timber obtained by shredding waste or recycled wood. The wood chips are mixed with a liquid plastic, which hardens when it is heated under pressure. The resulting sheets may be coated with wood veneer or another plastic.

siūlau kaip galimą variantą - PLYWOOD

kadangi "plywood" verčiama į lietuvių k. "fanera", o tarptautinių žodžių žodynas aiškina: fanera=lakštinė vienasluoksnė (drožtinė, pjautinė) arba daugiasluoksnė (klijuotinė) medienos medžiaga.
