German term
von...ablösen
German to English
Law/Patents
Finance (general)
Building regulations
This is taken from a report about a planned merger between two companies.
The phrase 'ABC wird von ihrem Recht XXX, die...'. The version below, a direct quotation from the source, appears to have a verb missing which should, if I'm not mistaken, fit in where the XXXs are above.
Can anyone suggest anything? One idea is von etwas Gebrauch machen....
Thanks for your time.
Simon
p.s. If we can find the right verb, then I'll change the question in the glossary to that term.
Die Verschmelzung erfüllt die Voraussetzungen für einen Kontrollwechsel. ABC wird von ihrem Recht, die ausständigen Optionen durch Barzahlung abzulösen. Die Aktienoptionspläne bzw die ausgegebenen Aktienoptionen gehen daher nicht auf XYZ über (siehe dazu Abschnitt 4.9).

Thanks Salih for your input but this doesn't make any sense as Kim points out - I'm looking for the missing German word and I cannot see how supercede would work in the English here. |
