: where does it say "sub-contract"? it's very far from nit-picking - it's more akin to an elephant or a whale. "subcontracting" is only a limited subset of "entering into contracts" on behalf of the company.

I still remember the case of a factory hall that collapsed few days after being finished because it was assembled following badly translated instructions.
Not to speak of avoidable costly disputes generated by ambiguous translations.
And better not mention what could be the consequences of an unclear translation for medical equipment...
And outside of the translation business, the case of a company that went under because no one bothered to check the meaning of just two words in a contract.
yes, these are "just words" ...
