@Victoria and Bernard I agree with Bernard and think it is an expression for not being at work for casual workers....as the other terms of the list are all about leaves....may be some paid day off for long term contract or whatever reason applied...

@ Victoria The software is designed by an Australian company and concerns international transport. In my opinion and based on the list, that would indeed be a reason for absence.

Absence? All the others in the list are not ways in which a staff member may be employed, but reasons for which they may be absent! I have never heard of "casual days" being days when people can choose not to show up, however... My guess would be that this is talking about casual workers, who may be entitled to days off during their period of employment. What is the source country?
