français term

mouillette (verticale)

français vers anglais Marketing Marketing / recherche de marché perfumery research report
I have a picture and they look like ordinary labels - maybe moistened and stuck on ?!

fragrance blotter

Also called "fragrance/perfume test strips"

My guess would be that the labels are meant to evoke the appearance of fragrance blotters.

fragrance blotter cards/strips

Fragrance blotter cards/strips are free of scent and used to test scents.

** These are not "fragrance strips" or "scent strips", which are already impregnated with a scent, such as the adhesive flaps in glossy magazines impregnated with scent that are part of an advertisement.

neutral Sheri P : Who said they were magazine perfume samples? That's not implied in my answer.//In any case, I fail to see a substantive difference between the answer you just posted and the one I posted nearly two days ago.

I am not meaning to imply that the term is wrong. I am pointing out a second level of terminology that is close in English and which results in confusion and mistranslation between these two levels of terminology.
