Rozumienue i interpretacja tutaj w pełni zależy od całego zdania a nawet akapitu. Bo przecież może to być np. "często niespotykane nigdzie indziej zwierzęta (...) nabierają przedziwnych nawyków ..." Lub coś w tym stylu, czyli "niespotykane nigdzie indziej zwierzęta (...) często nabierają przedziwnych nawyków ..."
Dlatego bez kontekstu to my tu sobie pogadamy miło i przyjemnie zaprzeszły szukaczy bedą zachodzić w głowę o co tu chodzi 😀

Właśnie chodzi mi o sens określenia "często niespotykane nigdzie indziej".

Jeżeli coś jest niespotykane nigdzie indziej, to występuje tylko w jednym miejscu świata (np. w opisywanym rezerwacie na Śląsku).

Wyraz "często" w tym kontekście oznacza - moim zdaniem - wiele gatunków (zwierząt i roślin) spośród tych, które tam wegetują.

Patrząc na całe określenie od strony logicznej, nie widzę możliwości, aby jakikolwiek gatunek zwierzęcia czy rośliny "często nie występował gdziekolwiek indziej" (niż w na opisywanym obszarze).

Wniosek: całe określenie należy rozumieć jako "wiele z tych gatunków występuje tylko na opisywanym obszarze".

wszystko zależy od interpretacji - "niespotykane";
zwierzęta są niespotykane, bo ich tam w ogóle nie ma, czy są niespotykane, bo nie wyłażą z nory ;)

nie chodzi o egzotyczną florę/faunę odizolowanego zakątka Ziemi, lecz o obszar województwa śląskiego, gdzie zachowały się jeszcze pewne gatunki roślin i zwierząt, a które jest trudniej zobaczyć w naturalnym otoczeniu w innych częściach tego samego kraju, a może nawet regionu ...

Nie chodzi o tekst źródłowy, ale o znaczenie zwrotu "często niespotykane" w kontekście zwierząt i roślin oraz o przełożenie znaczenia całego zwrotu - a nie oddzielnych wyrazów - na angielski.

@geopiet Jak rozumiesz określenie "często niespotykane""? Może wyjaśnisz na przykładzie? Czy np. jakiś gatunek lemura z Mauritiusa jest "często niespotykany" - a może jest "nieczęsto spotykany" - w Afryce, Europie, Azji, Australii i obu Amerykach? O obecności w ogrodach zoologicznych nie mówię.
