Japanese term

宝船

Japanese to English Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks Automotive
Hi all,

This again appears in the Vhecle Quality Assurance docment I have been translating. Please let me know what is meant by the word 宝船 in the context of : トリム宝船とボデーの隙を無くしボデー間を通り抜け出来ない.
The literal translation in the dictionaries is treasure ship and I wonder if the tresure ship has any relevance here. It simply does not fit into the context of the subject or the sentence.

perpendicular line

I guess this is a 変換ミス for 法線. Type hou and sen separately and you could get 宝船. Maybe you could write a kids' story out of it! 法線 is a line (direction) perpendicular to the surface you are discussing.

treasure ship

The first letter 宝(takara) means a treasure, and the secound letter 船(bune) means a ship. It is not a exsisting thing, it is a dream ship in the sky which has the 7 gods in. And also it has a lot of tresures and rich things. It is a symbol of happiness, and rich. To celebralte a new year, some people buy a symbol of Takarabune as a god.
