Italian to English Tech/Engineering Architecture Master Degree in Architecture
This is the title of a specialty Degree in Architecture on a Degree Certificate, therefore it must be translated in a sort of official way.
Needless to say, the difficult rendering bit is "per l'autonomia" (??). Also, 'Interior Design Planning' or 'Interior Design'? or both?

I think Anusca is right. I think Autonomia means Accessibility (with regards to disabled people) in this context. These barrier-free standards and regulations are increasingly becoming part of building codes so it makes sense that an educational program would teach these topics. I see lots of relevant pages in English and Italian with a little googling (but not ones that connect autonomia to environmental sustainability.)

Credo non si tratti di disabilità ma di sostenibilità, visto che molti degli esami sostenuti fanno riferimento alla progettazione per ambienti sostenibili (autonomi dal punto di vista energetico. comunque per aver sollevato la questione dato che mi ha fatto riflettere sul significato qui specifico di autonomia

architectural barrier io intendevo questo, accessibility è diverso, riguarda la comodità e la razionalità degli accessi ad edifici ecc. , ma per abili!
Devi chiedere alla fonte se si tratti di disabili!
Ho notato più volte il termine autonomia in questo senso, potrebbe essere anche nel tuo caso!

neutral Barbara Carrara : How would Sustainability translate Autonomia, though? The Ita uni mentions the Unesco WH sites in the Campania region. Now, what that would have to do with interior design is beyond me...

oops we wrote at the same time. I wanted to make the point that there is nothing about accessibility and architectural barriers, specifically, in the syllabus.
