contracola de la llanta

español al inglés Técnico/Ingeniería Ingeniería (general) contracola
This is from a document from a hydroelectric power company specifying information that must be provided during a bidding process. I have checked engineering sources and cannot find the word " contracola" and also cannot find other examples of it online:

...deberá entregar un análisis de esfuerzos por elementos finitos sobre la geometría 3D de la fijación de los polos con la llanta (tanto en las colas de milano del polos como en las contracolas de la llanta) para demostrar que no habrá problemas mecánicos por fatiga acumulativa durante los ciclos de arranque/parada.

...shall provide a list of finite element stresses on the 3D geometry of the area where the pole affixes to the wheel (both on the dovetails of the poles and on the wheel XXXXXX) to demonstrate that there will be no problems due to accumulated fatigue during start-up/stop cycles indicated in this Technical Specification.

I appreciate your help!

Thanks Robin, I appreciate that feedback. I'll check the rest of the context and see if this would apply.
Jennifer Levey Jun 22, 2015:
llanta = ? With only a short extract from the ST to go on, I'm wondering if 'wheel' is the best translation of 'llanta' in this context.
The text appears to refer to the extreme forces acting on the rotating component of an electric generator ('polos' of an armature, rotor, etc.).
If it referred to a water turbine, then it would presumably say 'vanos', not 'poles'.
And if it's a 'volante' (i.e., neither part of the water turbine nor the generator), then it should be called a 'flywheel', not a mere 'wheel'.
