broadcast
Google defines broadcast as:
verb
1.
transmit (a program or some information) by radio or television.
"the announcement was broadcast live"
synonyms: transmit, relay, air, beam, show, televise, telecast, webcast, simulcast, cablecast, screen
"the show will be broadcast worldwide"
adjective
1.
of or relating to radio or television transmission.
"a broadcast journalist"
So normally I would say diffuser <=> to broadcast, but this translation works if the signal could theoretically be picked up by any receiver/device tuned in to the proper channel or given permission to connect . For example, you can broadcast a bluetooth signal that, while visible to all bluetooth devices within range, can only be accessed by paired devices.
There are a lot of context specific translations for this term, but I think broadcast, or transmission/transmit (if the radio signal is more directional), cover the full range of meanings in your examples.
Here is a link to a couple of French government of Canada websites that use "mise en ondes" several times and offer a variety of different translations, including broadcast. (To see equivalent English pages, look to the top right for the "English" button)

The Grand Dictionnaire Terminologique gives "production" as another translation (as in, producing radio/television shows), but from the sentences you've pasted here I don't think that fits your context.

transmit
Indeed a curious term! But from the quite explicit context given, I'd say it just means '(to go into) transmit (mode)' — so like a 'transmit' button / swicth / function, etc.
Of course we wouldn't use the different part of speech in quite the same way in EN, so you'll need to adapt the solution chosen to each individual instance.

Discussion
The specific notion of 'emission' is reserved for a more restricted range of meanings like the (unintentional) emission of interference, the emission of noxious gases... and the 'emitter' electrode of a transistor, by analogy with the cathode of a thermionic valve.
