Hi all, I was wondering if I need to use a hyphen in the German translation of 12v vehicle supply. Is it 12 V Fahrzeugspannung or 12 V-Fahrzeugspannung? A hyphen looks wrong to me but please advise.

Wenn du wüsstest ... (wie häufig die Falschschreibung mit nur einem oder gar keinem statt zwei Bindestrichen geworden ist). Das ist also lange nicht mehr "jedem" klar.

: "vehicle supply" würde ich nie mit "Bordnetz" übersetzen. Auch meine Fachwörterbücher kennen diese Übersetzung nicht.

Welche Übersetzung in diesem Fall am passendsten ist, kann nur die Fragestellerin selbst beantworten. Wörterbuch-Inhalte und die sich ständig weiterentwickelnde praktische Sprachverwendung sind "zwei Paar Schuhe".
