Japanese to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)

It is used in the phrase ３カ月先物の日次データ (対数階差) を用いて... and ...各変数に対数階差を用いた.

I know it translates literally as something like "Logarithm difference" but think there must be an equivalent English expression.
