English term (edited): the customer defined pitch

in this ST "pitch" is the precise location within the building site where all these materials / equipments were delivered.

When delivering bulky or heavy materials / equipments it makes a difference if the delivery is not just dumped at the gate but unloaded at the exact "pitch" (= location within the building site) according to how the site is organised - for example if pallets of bricks are unloaded on a "pitch" near the future wall, instead of anywhere on the building site.

Origin

Middle English (as a verb in the senses ‘thrust (something pointed) into the ground’ and ‘fall headlong’): perhaps related to Old English picung ‘stigmata’, of unknown ultimate origin. The sense development is obscure.
