The Null Fill control adjusts the curve of the high-pass filter to “fill in” the null caused by the summing of the side-chain return signal and the input signal. Although this often is a desirable effect, the Null Fill control was created to allow the user to fill-in the null by a selectable amount for any applications requiring less emphasis. When the Null Fill control is set at Max, the frequency dip is filled, but the frequencies associated with the shelf top become accentuated.
