Portuguese term
Utilização reservada
Portuguese to English
Marketing
Finance (general)
Marketing Events
I'm translating a corporate document, which says at the bottom, right next to the fact that it includes sensitive information, 'utilização reservada'. Normally, I would have translated it as 'for private use', but it doesn't seem appropriate considering the type of document.
Is there any way I can get around it?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Confidential / For internal use only
Either of these terms can be used, it depends on exactly how restricted the information is.

Thanks, Kim, but I don't know who will be using it, so I can't say that it's for internal use. The problem is that they don't say who will be using it. |

Restricted use
In that case, I would use the term "Restricted use". See one of the definitions in the Merriam Webster Dictionary for 'restricted' - not intended for general circulation or release <a restricted document>
Note from asker:
Thanks Uvie, I agree with the term 'restricted'. It's the term 'use' that I'm not so sure about. It seems like I'm translating it word for word. |

: Restricted use is the correct term, IMO.

: All the suggested solutions would work, it depends on the exact nature and purpose of your documents. Not knowing these, and if it was me, I'd go with "restricted use", sometimes word for word is what works best! (less risky too)

Restricted Document / Private Information
Explicação:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classified_information
Há vários níveis de confidencialidade e várias classificações possíveis. Uma delas:
Top secret (TS) = Ultra-secreto
Secret = Secreto
Confidential = Confidencial
Restricted = Reservado
Top secret
Top secret is the highest level of classified information.(...)
Secret
“It is desired that no document be released which refers to experiments with humans and might have adverse effect on public opinion or result in legal suits. Documents covering such work field should be classified 'secret'.”
Confidential
Confidential material would cause damage or be prejudicial to national security if publicly available.
Restricted (= Reservado)
Restricted material would cause "undesirable effects" if publicly available. Some countries do not have such a classification; in public sectors, such as commercial industries, such level are also called and known as "Private Information".
