French to English Law/Patents Investment / Securities types of portfolios
Good afternoon/evening,

I have come across a term that I cannnot find anywhere and would appreciate some help with it. I have tried using the 'logicasl' translation and found nothing. [US English please]

Here it is in its sole context which concerns investment bancking: "Ce sont les mêmes que ceux appliqués au XYZ, le portefeuille de tranches du UYW, jusqu'à présent ..."

Given that this is the 'sole' entry of this term, alll I can say is that the first entity is a bank and the second one is a corporate-type body. Thanks again Phil.

I don't mean the names, I just wanted to know what they represent, and it sounds like they're the names of two companies. You could give us a lot more context without revealing these, but I don't see any reason to avoid "portfolio of tranches".
