this is not necessarily always bad credit.. but you can put a stop on a check .. and the person/company it was written out to would not be able to cash it until stop was lifted.. therefore.. it has been "rechazado". but the reason here with no text is unclear. i think this needs to be benevolent in translation and more general. otherwise it would be "cheques sin fondos"

Well, a matter of style. Dishonoured, bounced, returned are also fine in this context. But for a straight translation try rejected. Good luck to you.
