Abbreviations %I og % R

Danish to English Medical Medical (general)
"Af intensivnotater fremgår det, at pt. er %I og %R, men også at han generelt har frasagt sig
behandling..."
The above is from the medical notes of a patient who was very ill, with multiple health problems, who did not want major life-prolonging measures.

Has anyone encountered these abbreviations before please?

Could they mean intervention and resuscitation, although no actual percentage is stated?

Discussion

Mette Krogh Jan 8, 2018:
Yes, of course - 'intensive CARE'.
eodd (asker) Jan 8, 2018:
PS I entered this as Minus intensive care and minus resuscitation in the glossary but it seems to have reverted to the way your wrote it.
eodd (asker) Jan 7, 2018:
Thanks very much Mette. It's a strange way of writing it, in my opinion.
Please enter this as an answer and I'll enter it in the glossary.
Cetra Hastings Jan 7, 2018:
Agree That sounds perfect!
Mette Krogh Jan 7, 2018:
Maybe this could help: https://pri.rn.dk/Sider/23154.aspx defines % R and % I as 'Minus Resuscitation (ingen genoplivning)' and 'Minus Intensive (Minus Intensiv)', respectively.

'Minus Intensive' and 'Minus Resuscitation'

https://pri.rn.dk/Sider/23154.aspx defines % R and % I as 'Minus Resuscitation (ingen genoplivning)' and 'Minus Intensive (Minus Intensiv)', respectively.
So in this case '%' means minus - a little unusual.

%Intermediate % Resistant

Could they relate to bacterial resistance? see link below
Example sentence:

Susceptibility results for each pathogen were reported using the category interpretations “susceptible” (S), “intermediate” (I), “resistant” (R), or “not tested”

Note from asker:
Thanks for your suggestion Cetra. I honestly can't say, but I don't think so here. The paragraph in question discusses the option of dialysing the patient.
