You really can't seem to make your mind up, can you? Agree > disagree > neutral to CP's answer, and now neutral > disagree for this one. Your own offering ("abrupt accelerations and decelerations") is an overtranslation.

(Journeys ...) abrupt accelerations and decelerations
>
"Journeys in public transport are characterized by abrupt accelerations and delays, namely between two stops".

: The better term for short local transport is 'trip'.

Removing comments now...
Apart from that I think personal vendettas should stay out of proz.com (a lesson I had to learn too).
Everyone can see what I wrote on ProZ. I can find you a lot about other people, too. So what? Just another personal attack, no substance.
Going through ProZ to take screenshots of other people's posts is seriously mental.
[This post was a response to a since-deleted comment, which had little to do with the discussion below. I suppose I need to leave it up; I rarely delete something posted to the d-box, especially if it is part of an ongoing conversation. That is, unless someone else removes his or her posts first, so the rest doesn't make sense anymore. I'm not entirely sure, however, whether deleting my response would be the wisest course of action in this case.]
And, why do you revoke obsolte KudoZ answers, even altered due to altered context? Again, the context refers to frequent accelerations and decelerations during a bus journey/trip, not to hopping the bus, or frequent stops.
Journey more for something lengthy, such as trans-national.

I think you should have mentioned that the patent you're translating focuses on the bus driver, not the passengers. (Very) short distances and repeated(ly) for Intervall ought to do it.
Similar to:
"When service use increases on a hail and ride route the bus may have to stop several times in a short distance to pick up and set down."
