English term

yellow jacket

Non-PRO English to Chinese Other Linguistics
Re Yellow Jacket: I was wondering how you would say this in Chinese? Yellow Jackets are carnivorous wasps with black and yellow stripes. They have a reputation of being pests at picnics because they are attracted to food, especially any food that contains meat like hamburger. One good thing about them, however, is that they help control the caterpillar population. Yellow Jackets are found in most countries around the world. I'm sure they are in China too.

I need will need the translation in Romanized (Pin Yin) letters too. Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it.

Sincerely,
Brian Costello

Re Yellow Jacket I would like to thank both gentlemen for their answers. I chose Ray Luo's seeing that it has two confirmations. (I wish there were more peer reviews on some of the answers proposed at Kudoz for Chinese and other languages). I know that feng means "wasp" so Clearwater is not necessarily wrong. It could be just an optional alternative for "yellow jacket"... The only problem is I need those peer reviews to come to an accurate decision! Thanks again for your responses.

Sincerely,
Brian Costello
