Coronavirus Event

COVID-19 English to French Law/Patents Law: Contract(s)

Asker Who or what is being insured here? What type of insurance is this?

Here is an extract If a Coronavirus Event occurs, the Affected Party shall notify the non-affected Party without undue delay, however not later than 10 Business Days, of: (...)
I do think that "cas de coronavirus" would rather be interpreted as a "positive case of coronavirus"
Kévin Bacquet Aug 19, 2021:

événement lié au coronavirus

About "événement", see the definition of "cas de force majeure" from the French Civil Code quoted in this article : https://www.avocats-mathias.com/actualites/force-majeure-imp...

The translation with "cas de coronavirus" may be misleading in my opinion, since it also means "coronavirus case".

agree Eliza Hall : Yes, I think it's this--it's broader than just a "case of coronavirus" (person getting sick).

disagree Caroline Bajwel : "cas" is restrictive as it suggests positive cases only instead of covid-related events

You may be right but I think more context would be helpful (as always)
