Ti ringrazio per il chiarimento. In questo contesto qual è la sfumatura che si dà al "career changer"? Per intenderci, colui/colei che passa da un impiego all'altro è visto/a sotto una luce negativa (come una persona indecisa, che non sa mettere a fuoco le proprie ambizioni e che quindi successivamente si cerca di rendere un high-flyer) o positiva (una persona che sa mettersi in gioco, cambiando spesso carriera, e che ha il potenziale di diventare un high flyer)?

I agree. "Ambitious" is a normal English word. "High-flyer" is not a common phrase.
When it is used, "high-flyer" means someone who is already "flying high" (metaphor for "achieving great things"), not someone who wants to fly high. The phrase is not common. Businessmen (talking to other businessmen) sometimes call a very successful salesperson a "high-flyer".
