Spanish term

juzgado local único

FVA Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general)
This is from a legal document about a court case that took place in a "juzgado local único" in Nicaragua.

My thought was "district court" since the "juzgado local único" is the lowest court in the judicial hierarchy (source: https://www.poderjudicial.gob.ni/tam_gr/juzgados_locales.asp...
Proposed translations (English)
4 +2 (sole) district court

(sole) district court

Personally I'd leave it out as you suggest, but I know some people don't like doing this, so it's up to you.

It simply isn't relevant to the reader of the translation that it's the only court in town.

Here's a previous question with a very different context, but the principle is the same:

I don't particularly like "single local court", and there must be another term that can be adapted, but that is what a number of links say, including an OAS link.

Other observations:
"Único" has been glossed before as "unique", "sole", "one-off", but in this context, these are not particularly useful, IMO.

I wonder whether the term "local court" should be left without any further need for qualifying? I get the impression that it is a "small type court", in a town or village and the only one in the immediate surrounds.

Thank you. I do have reservations that it is a "district" court (another proposal); according to link from "Latin Alliance" they are two separate Courts.
