Interesting The inverse was recently asked in the EN>ES pair:

/Ah Jose tu habías participado activamente en esa pregunta también!
Jose Marino (asker) Jun 13, 2022:
I totally agree with you. It is just that I have seen "banner" translated as "identificación gráfica" and that really does not make any sense to me, so I thought to make a reverse enquiry to find out the opinion of the natives. Thanx a lot Andrew!!!
Andrew Darling Jun 13, 2022:
In addition: It was tempting to suggest 'corporate identity', or 'brand identity', but I think 'graphic identity' is more specific.
Andrew Darling Jun 13, 2022:
@ Jose Precisely.
Jose Marino (asker) Jun 13, 2022:
Yes, I agree with you. A banner (anuncio in Spanish) is an element of "graphic identity" which does not mean that banner can be translated as "graphic identity". This is, not all elements of graphic identity are banners. Thanx Andrew!!!
Andrew Darling Jun 13, 2022:
Hi Jose, I think that a banner could be part of a company's graphic identity.

graphic identity

"A graphic identity, or visual identity, is the brand message communicated by a company's logo, design schemes, characters and other visual symbols used in internal and external messages. A consistent, impacting graphic identity is an integral part of building and maintaining a strong brand image."

@Asker:
No, an identifcación gráfica is a detailed specification covering all aspects of the visual (and perhaps also audio) design of the company's 'look' as perceived by the public: artistic design of logos and other corporate artwork, colours used in that artwork, fonts used in related texts, etc. A 'banner' is just one of number of elements where the identifcación gráfica will be adhered to. Others will include company letter-heads, on-line presentations, etc. etc.

@Asker
Can you post a link to that old Kudoz entry, so we can see why that answer was voted for? Maybe it's a matter of context...

Thanx, Jennifer. It is just that there is an entry in Kudoz for which people vote that says that the translation of banner is "graphic identification" which does not make any sense to me, therefore I though of a reverse enquiry to find out with the natives. Thanx!!!
Peer comment(s):

neutral philgoddard : I think this is a mistranslation of "charte graphique". Nearly all of the hits, including your references, are translations.

graphic identity or visual brand identity

I think both of these could work.
