This test relates to a lady with a malignant blood disease. Karyotyping is performed using FISH. I cannot find anything for CULOT CYTOGENETIQUE, only CULOT CELLULAIRE, cell pellet. Expert help would be hugely appreciated.

The pellet can then be analysed in various ways.

En cas d’échec du caryotype (absence de métaphases clonales), le culot de cellules fixées peut être utilisé pour analyse par FISH interphasique.

Having worked +20 years in labs and research, I think this is what they mean by "culot cytogenetique".
