personal time dovrebbe tradursi come congedo retribuito. Ma quando poi vado a tradurre tutta la prima parte della frase, tenendo conto di congedo sabbatico retribuito, ho dei dubbi di resa.

l'intero concetto, se si tratta di peridi lunghetti, insomma più un quache giorno o settimana di congedo, in genere si dice aspattativa retribuita/non retribuita. Ora questa non è la traduzione di taken on a personal time ovviamente, ma secondo me sarebbe bene riformulare la frase per rendere il concetto, con qualcosa tipo: "il lavoratore puo' richiedere in qualunque momento un'aspettativa retribuita per un qualunque periodo sul tempo a sua disposizione previsto a tale effetto"
