Discussion

Liviu-Lee Roth Dec 22, 2022:
Iulia Parvu (asker) Dec 20, 2022:

- a written undertaking - backed by a penal notice = on penalty of forfeiting the recognis/zance money - to refrain from leaving the (jurisidction of the federal state or) country, rather than not to 'seek leave to appeal' = permission to appeal against the order.

I'm unsure of the source country, but public prosecutor doesn't look British / Irish - quaere: Romanian or US American / Canadian. Cut to our American colleagues....
Example sentence:

recognis /zance (law) a security entered into before a court with a condition to perform some act required by law; on failure to perform that act a sum is forfeited.
