: not sure, relief = 地形; there is also 地势,山势 - these seem to be mostly for natural features, whereas Yuanmingyuan is landscaped (I think)

Thanks. Again, I didn't invent the terms. Features would be things like "arches", "holes", "crevices", "faults"... so, no.

: Yes, a pediment I think. I clearly remember going to the top of a flat-topped probably man-made hill there, going there at 中秋 to enjoy the moon, two friends far from home ...(yuanmingyuan is close to my old school)
