I'm not even particularly sure who/what this is referring to, so any and all help is welcome. Is it some kind of mythical/fictional character, perhaps?

Discussion

Wenjer Leuschel (X) May 1, 2007:
I was thinking of Grandpa, but then thought 連爺爺 who is definitely not a grandpa. When we call our own grandpas, we would say simply 爺爺. But when we call someone in our grandpa's generation, we would call him with family name. That's why I put it that way.

Grand Uncle Zhong

This figure must be an invented character, who tells kids stories about ecology. He is just named Grand Uncle Zhong.
