I've come across this before - it means using backup systems or data, possibly at a remote location, after your own have failed. I'm not sure what it's called though.

That's just one example: as I understand it, it is a term that can be applied to most 'desperate' situation that need to be evaded or avoided.s

relocations; workaround situations

I'm not sure of this but offer my guess and the perhaps obvious info that this is a specific, technical term that implies the use of alternative computer resources at an alternative physical site, in the event of failure of the usual resource. (See first search result (a PDF) at http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=uitwijksituaties&ei=UTF-8&f...
