Hi - I've come across an unusual usage for "bedankt voor" for which I can find no reference. I'm thinking it could mean either retired/resign from - thanks for your help!


In 1946 werd de CPN de grootste partij in Opsterland. XXXX werd loco-burgemeester tot de komst van burgemeester YYYYY. In de CPN kreeg hij een conflict met de partijleiding en in 1949 werd hij uit de partij gezet. Hij was daarna eerst onafhankelijk raads- en Statenlid en vanaf 1950 vertegenwoordigde hij de Socialistische Unie. Toen deze partij verdween ging XXXX over naar de PSP. Voor deze partij heeft hij enkele jaren geleden bedankt.
