Translocation of a species within its range firstly presupposes that suitable natural habitat is available into which to move it, and secondly that for some reason the species is not already present in that habitat or is at a population density well below ///‘carrying capacity’/// (if the species is present at ‘carrying capacity’ adding further animals will only result in mortality).
