zu taper habe ich nur Durchmesserabnahme/Konizität gefunden. Ob das passt?
balanced wenn's um Wellen geht (10Hz) bedeutet eher 'symetrisch'.

scheint nicht übersetzt zu werden. Wie bei der unten stehenden URL zu sehen, spricht man von Taper oder von Taperíng.
Es scheint sich dabei um einen Begriff aus der Vektormathematik zu handeln (siehe Hanning Taper). Kommt in der Seismologie oft vor. Mal bei Google versuchen.
