Diana hat auf jeden Fall Recht: Es geht hier um die Intensität der Arbeit, nicht um den Anteil am BIP. Die Frage ist also nur, welche Formulierung die beste ist. 'Arbeitsintensität' ginge meines Erachtens schon, aber 'Arbeitsverdichtung' ist vermutlich noch besser.
Also: 'rising worker intensities' = 'wachsende Arbeitsverdichtung'

Again, looking at these newer theses that use the English term with a different meaning, "worker intensities" really appears to refer to the level of tasks and expected standards of performance.
Basically, the assignment of additional responsibilities without a change in pay or title, or the application of prerequisites untypical for the actual task at hand in the selection process, e.g. a forklift license for a person hired to stack shelves.
I still don't think the German term "Arbeitsintensität" fits that concept, as I don't understand this as manual labour vs. automation, but rather company-specific expectation vs. established typical job profile for specific roles.
My answer is an interpretation.

Google zeigt nun Thesen mit Gegenüberstellungen von Branchen/Unternehmen, die hauptsächlich von Managerleistung oder Arbeiterleistung abhängen. Ich denke nicht, dass die "Arbeitsintensität" hier passt. Manager sind jedoch auch Arbeitnehmer...
