carta senza pasta (di legno) meccanica
Non la mia specializzazione, ma ci sono molte informazioni al proposito online. Spero ti serva quanto sotto. Ciao!
Il termine corretto è questo, anche se in qualche sito si trova "carta senza legno"

Mechanical paper is made from pulp manufactured by one of several processes in which the wood fibers are separated from logs or chips mechanically, while free sheet paper is made by isolating wood fiber through heat, pressure and chemicals. The term free sheet originated to describe paper that was “free” of mechanical pulp but currently applies to papers that have 10 percent or less mechanical fiber.

Freesheet Paper
Freesheet paper is free of groundwood pulp and has a bit higher brightness (whiter) than groundwood paper. Freesheet starts at a number 3 grade. Magazines commonly use 50#, 60#, 70# text weight freesheet options on the interior and 80#, 100# text weight or 66# cover weight freesheet stock on cover options. Freesheet paper is more costly than Groundwood.

Chemical pulps (sulfate, sulfite, soda, cotton linters, and vegetable fiber) are used to make uncoated free-sheet (or woodfree) papers, with occasional additions of up to 10% mechanical fiber or bleached chemithermomechanical pulps (BCTMP) and recycled fibers
