Сначала думала перевести как датчики (термопары) одноразового/ многоразового использования. Но из определений получается, что разница между ними заключается в изоляции, а не в количестве применений.

Expendable sensors: 1) thermoelements covered with fabric or plastic; 2) thermoelement insulation includes glass braid, ceramic fiber cloth, with glass braid overall, etc.

Nonexpendable sensors: 1) ceramic insulators over bare sensor wire, sometimes inserted in a tube for stability and protection; 2) sensor wire inside of a protecting metal sheath material, with mineral insulation material.

Expendable base metal load thermocouples may be used up to 30 times when used at or below 1200F (650C). They are limited to one use above 1200F.

The life of nonexpendable base metal load thermocouples shall be determined by the operating temperatures.
