First, you should know that this kind of clinical study -- a “window of opportunity study” or “window study” -- is not designed to treat your cancer.
What do you mean?
The primary treatment for your cancer may include surgery to remove the tumor or some other standard treatment.
The window study will be completed during what is called the pretreatment period, before you have the primary treatment.
