My text is on fork lifts: "Special care will be required when unloading trailers, stacking pallets, and when lifting stacking or nesting round objects."
I assume that comma is missing between "lifting" and "stacking", and if this is the case then the only problem would be "nesting".

I think by "nesting" they mean the fitting together of objects which are designed to fit into each other for ease of stacking, e.g. concal-sided bins,
or per haps sets of cylindrical objects of different sizes.

I don't see a problem


Explanation:
The forklift operator should be careful lifting items that are stacked or nested. I don't think the operator stacks or nests the items. The author has simply used the gerund as an adjective.

  -> Because the way I read it, stacking and nesting refer to the items, i.e., items that can be stacked or nested, and the operator should be careful to ensure they don't come "unstacked"
