Testing by the "Service des Mines"
Strictly speaking, the Service des Mines was phased out (I believe) with the creation of the DRIRE. Although, originally, one of its missions was indeed to test mines, its mission was extended to testing and approving all sorts of industrial equipment, notably motor cars following any major conversion operations, mainly from a safety aspect.

il existe un site si tu entres épreuve des mines sur la toile. Il semble s'agir d'épreuves sur des bouteiles d'oxygène sans doute pour tester la résistance à l'explosion. Bon courage!
