French term

inscrire la politique

French to English Other Government / Politics infrastructure
This is a Power Point translation about road safety and transportation demands.

Les objectifs de l'étude:
Inscrire la politique de transports dans une perspective de développement durable .

I'm not quite sure how to translate inscrire here. I looked at the other Proz entries for inscrire, but they didn't seem to fit this context.

The study aims to:
- incorporate the politics of transportation with an outlook towards sustainable development
???

Since this is a study, they may want to factor in/incorporate the politics of ...and analyze how it contributes towards sustainable development . That's my guess.

to integrate the transportation policy into a framework for sustainable development

Hello,

This is exactly how I understand it.

inscrire = to integrate (add to)

It does not mean "to draw up/write here", although clearly implied.

I hope it helps.

You could also say "to integrate the transportation policy into a basic plan for sustainable development"

perspective = basic plan/framework/groundwork
