Anscheinend handelt es sich eher um einen Holzwerkstoff, wie die bekannten OSB-Platten oder Spanplatten. Leider keine deutschen oder französischen Erklärungen gefunden. Anscheinend handelt es sich um eine englische (USA)-Bezeichnung. Ich würde deshalb "MDS" stehen lassen. Nachfolgend einige Links zu MDS und verwandten Baustoffen:

I did not say that the bottom steps were filled in. We made the sections slightly thicker – and started using virgin MDS (medium density styrene), as opposed to the previous, less expensive low density styrene.
