coppetta sporgente

office installations
Hard to know which heading to put these questions under. There should be something for "Lighting", "Office furnishing and installations" etc. Must tell the proz. people.
At any rate, are they referring here to the bulb housing for this light? The "coppa sporgente" is on street lamps as well, but I can't find the right name for them.
Dispositivo per chiamata da WC per disabile composto da:
- pulsante a tirante con cordone non igroscopico e perella;
- pulsante di annullo chiamata, all'interno del servizio;
- lampada di segnalazione fuoriporta con ***coppetta sporgente*** e lampada rossa;
- avvisatore acustico;
- trasformatore di sicurezza;

projecting dome
in other words, the warning light projects forward of the wall so that if it lights up, it can be seen obliquely from some distance away.

wall mounted
I would tend to use this term as it covers the issue. Basically this is the light "wall-mounted" outside the toiler which lights up when the cord is pulled (and not the chain by the way)

wall-mounted bowl
I think it also requires a reference to the "coppetta", as there are different shapes of course.

Yes I guess "bowl" is a bit unclear... I just remembered the common term we use in Australia for a half bowl shape light mount (yes I did realise we were talking about lights) and that is "oyster", but I don't know how it fairs in other English speaking countries.
I still think there has to be a reference made to the "coppetta". Just leaving it out would not be appropriate IMO.

Ahem... I think it's fine... however, putting "wall-mounted" also indicates projection of the light fitting from the wall, and to me sounds better... so maybe a combination effort from all.
ie. wall-mounted dome (light)??
